Yamaha SA2000 Semi Hollow 1978 (Used)
1978 Yamaha SA2000. Their answer to the ES335, these were a somewhat different beast with a different arrangement in the center block and a better build quality compared to the models they took inspiration from. This guitar features an ebony board on mahogany neck, real mother of pearl inlays, a birch and beech body with binding, gold hardware and a pair of Yamahas vintage style humbuckers. This is a wonderful playing instrument that'll take you from jazz, to blues, to indie rock and beyond.
It's got wear on the frets however there's no buzzing of dead spots. The body has scratches and marks consistent with a nearly 50 year old guitar. The rear of the headstock shows an impact mark behind one of the tuners where it appears to have been knocked, but the tuner works fine and there's no structural damage. The gold plating on the bridge and tailpiece has started peeling which is common on these models due to the plating they used under it.
Comes with a polyfoam case, but we'd recommend a good case for future protection and have several available.
