Moody Vibralux 17/12 Vintage Australian Amp (Used)

Moody Vibralux 17/12. A throwback to the early days of Australian rock n roll, when Johnny O'Keefe was shaking it on stage and on TV and young musicians were looking to get into the new fangled electric guitar just in time for the British Invasion. This amp was made here in Sydney in 1962 and is unlike most other amp circuits. With 17 watts of cathode biased EL84 output into a 12 inch speaker, it features two channels with tremolo on channel 1 and a simple tone control. This amp has been serviced and given a recap and an updated hi pass filter on the tremolo channel to deal with the speaker pumping that is common on these amps. The cabinet is in great condition and unlike many other amps of the era, isn't made of chip board so isn't disintegrating. It's got loose grill cloth internally which doesn't pose an issue, and the pots are a little scratchy due to their age but don't cut out when used. Comes with the original hard wired tremolo footswitch.
