Orville By Gibson ES335

1988 Orville By Gibson ES335. Top of the Orville line and from the first year of production, this has all the mojo of a near 40 year old guitar, combined with the craftsmanship you'd expect from the Terada factory. 

These have a reputation for a reason and this one oozes tone. These shipped with US Gibson Original humbuckers as standard and they're still present and have all the classic PAF style tone. 

Slim 60s style one piece mahogany neck with 17 degree pitch like the vintage ones. Vintage frets in good condition with a little wear from decades of play. No headstock breaks or trussrod issues. Nut has been replaced in the past with a bone one that works quite well. 

The body is in a deep, dark cherry unlike most of the ones I've seen over the years and on closer inspection is actually covered in birds eye figuring. There's scuffs and dulling on the finish and a little barely noticeable blush from it being a Japanese guitar. No major chunks or gouges, just the one moderate scratch on the treble horn.
