Vadis 601 Head and 212 Cab (Used)

Vadis 601 Head and 212 Cab. This old Aussie made bit of kit is an odd duck as it appears to be a one off. Unique to this amp is a cathode biased output stage using a pair of EL34s for 30W paired with bias trem for some real swampy tones. As with most Aussie amps, it uses a unique topology with features like a baxendall tone stack and a direct coupled reverb. Nothing is orthodox about this amp and that's what makes it so cool. 

The cab is a 212 closed back loaded with a pair of Aussie made Plesset 12PEG speakers. Wired up in parallel for an 8 ohm setup, the cab is rated for 40W and is incredibly inefficient What that means is you can crank the daylights out of the amp and not worry about detroying the walls. 

This amp has been serviced and recapped and comes with the original 2 button footswitch for reverb and trem. The power transformer has been rewound or replaced at some point in the late 90s with a suitable direct drop in that was made in Sydney by Special Transformers.
