Back in the day, guitar amps weren't super common from the major brands here in Australia due to import tarrifs. Music stores would build their own to sell to customers and that's where this amp came from. Built by Garl, a music store in Sydney run by George R Lee, this is a unique sounding amp in the vein of the 6G7 Bandmaster but with a bit more Marshall flavour to it. With about 50W of output with a pair of 6L6's, a solid state rectifier and tremolo, the two channels provide different tones going from cleans to BIG crunch. Like many amps of the era that were built in back sheds and workbenches, it's not without its quirks and lacks any known schematic. One of the main quirks is the tremolo with the speed control wired backward, and the depth control working only on the second half of the turn. Still works a treat and isn't a standard opto but rather a harmonic tremolo like what was found on the Brownface Fender amps.

Amp hasn't been recapped but works well with the oddities noted above regarding the tremolo circuit.
