Greco SA500 small body 335 style hollow body. Long before Gibson were making the 339, Greco were making the SA500 with the shrunken 335 style body. What sets the early models like this one apart, is the fact they're fully hollow like a Casino. Adding to that, they're constructed in a unique way by doing away with the bent laminate sides, instead using solid mahogany that's been routed out to the side profile of the instrument. This makes for a more balanced instrument with a unique tone.
This guitar is from approximately 1974 and is in excellent condition. Original embossed Gneco logo pickups by Maxon, original Gotoh star tuners and original frets. The nut on these is very narrow, much like Gibsons of the era so if you want a small and comfortable neck you'll feel right at home. It's been fret dressed previously and the binding nibs have been removed along with the binding being filed down. this leaves a little gap on the ends of the fret where the fret used to be flush against the binding but they're not lifting. The only major flaw of note is some lacquer checking at the neck behind the nut and a chip in the forearm area.
Freshly setup with Elixirs and ready to play.
