Playmaster 117 Head (Used)

Playmaster 117 Head. Back in the old days, you could buy Electronics Australia and learn how to build your own electronics and the 117 was one of these kits. Based on a Goldentone 60W amp, the circuit and breakdown of how it worked was featured in the July 1967 issue. With a single channel with 3 different sounding inputs and tremolo, it's a sweet little head that won't break your back. This particular unit was built in the late 60s and was made by someone with a fair level of skill. The unit works well except for the tremolo which is a little wonky and doesn't quite work at all positions on the dial. This is a great amp if you're looking to get into troubleshooting and building amps as it's well laid out with plenty of documentation available. Unit hasn't been recapped or refurbished but we can organize this for you at your cost.
