Tuition Terms and Conditions
Terms and Conditions for enrollment
Lessons are run throughout the entire year. Students who wish to discontinue lessons during the school holidays will retain their times provided adequate notice is given (2 weeks before holiday start). Lesson times are confirmed prior to the start of the years tuition and shall remain the same unless requested and we are able to accomodate the change. We request students turn up 5-10 minutes prior to their lesson to ensure that lessons start on time and allow the best use of the allocated time. Students shall provide their own guitars, basses and drum sticks. We shall provide pianos, drum kits, amplifiers and music stands. Printed materials are to be purchased by the students. Parents/guardians are welcome to wait for the students on site, or are free to return at the completion of the lesson.
Payments are processed weekly as a direct debit through our provider from your nominated debit/credit card. Lessons are charged one week in advance. Failure to make payments will result in lessons being on hold until the account is made good. Failure to keep your account in good standing may result in cancellation of your enrollment and will make the notice period lessons payable in full.
Lesson cancellations are made by calling the store or via email. We allow up to 3 cancellations per calendar year (more may be offered at the companies discretion). Cancellations made over 24 hours prior to lesson start will be credited to the following week. Cancellations made within 24 hours of the lesson start, or failure to turn up, will result in the full cost of the lesson being charged. Lessons will be considered forfeit if s student is more than 10 minutes late to the start of a lesson. In the event a teacher cancels a lesson, paid lessons will be credited to the next lesson.
Guitar and bass students are required to service their instruments twice yearly. This is done in store at a cost of $50. This is to ensure there is no hinderance to progress through unsatisfactory playability.
Drum students are required to use hearing protection if taught on an acoustic kit, this can be purchased from the shop. Students are to provide their own drum sticks. If a student wishes to use their own hardware or cymbals, allow for setup time.
Within 6 weeks from the first lesson, a 30 day notice period is required for discontinuation of tuition. After this period, 2 weeks notice is required for discontinuation.
